Creator Spotlight: Cosplayers Tackling the Decades.

We at Inbeon magazine love creativity and spot lighting various creators. Before the pandemic, we were going to cover an event by GOASH ( Geeks Out at Snug Harbor). Unfortunately it had to cancel, but that didn’t stop us from reaching out to the event coordinator Najah Abdul-Qawiyy. Before you know it, this article was born. Najah did an awesome job reaching out to cosplayers, getting their info and pictures of their cosplay that represented a decade. Inbeonmag thanks GOASH for putting this article together and we hope you guys enjoy!

  • Instagram: @DameDahlia
  • Photographer: Rick Currier
  • Name of Cosplay: Bombshell Black Canary

I look for strong and confident characters, even though they may have flaws, that can inspire as well as bring joy to kids of all ages.Cosplay is more than a hobby.  I donate my time with the Central PA Avengers doing charity events.  I also attend regional conventions where I discus cosplay and costuming.

Submission 5

  • Name: James Perlas
  • Instagram: @Sexpantherrr
  • Name of Cosplay: Johnny Cage 80’s Miami

A casual cosplayer who enjoys putting creative cosplays together (particularly with his girlfriend), but hasn’t quite mastered the whole “sowing” aspect of it yet. Johnny was the first cosplay I made that involved painting, screen-printing, and some fabric work. Still working on that split-groin punch combo, though! I’m proud of this brash boy and his vibrant, neon 80’s colors.

Submission 6

  • Name: Mia Cerami
  • Instagram: @meebs314
  • Name of Cosplay: Suzie Q – Jojos Bizare Adventure

My costuming journey began in fantasy and renaissance faires, but it was Marvel superheroes that brought me back to a love of historical and vintage wear. Becky may be more of a costume than some of my other outfits, but I put my own spin on it using a vintage shorts pattern. Plus the period accurate color Victory Red (thank you Besame!) is my favorite lipstick look (though admittedly here, you can only see it in the nail polish)!
